Making a die requires precision, experience and an in-depth knowledge of production processes. At Scanferla, every mould is born from a structured process, starting from the technical analysis of the part required by the customer through to series production. Let’s discover together the essential steps of this process.
STEP 1 – Analysis
📐 Everything starts from the study of the project provided by the client.
Our technical team carefully analyses the technical drawing (2D or 3D) of the metal component. Using advanced CAD software, we examine the feasibility of the design and develop an efficient method for die making.
STEP 2 – Design
🖥️ After the analysis, we move on to the actual design.
We use 3D CAD software to model the die down to the smallest detail. At this stage, all the technical details defined in the analysis phase are incorporated, with the possibility of running further simulations to verify the functionality and quality of the future die.
STEP 3 – Die construction
🏭 With the design approved, we move on to the production phase.
The die is constructed using carefully selected materials, chosen according to the type of metal to be machined and the complexity of the part. Each component is manufactured with extreme precision to ensure high performance and durability.
STEP 4 – Die Testing and Production
✅ Before series production, each die is thoroughly tested.
We carry out quality and functionality tests to ensure that each element meets the required standards. If necessary, we make prototype tools to simulate real production conditions and correct any imperfections.
🚚 After the test step, we start series production and deliver the finished product to the customer, ready to be used in his industrial process.
